I had never bought anything off of there because I wasn't overly sure I trusted it. But a few months ago I found a set of fender emblems for my Oldsmobile and decided to bust my cherry and buy them. Then I found a set of grill "442" emblems and just yesterday I bought the trunk emblems. Obviously, mine are old and pitted and need replacements. I've been looking into buying aftermarket ones, but they look so shitty. I keep checking Ebay all the time to see if the pieces I need are there, and I've been pretty lucky. These are all OEM parts. They are new, but old stock that was found in old parcels or packages.

Lucky for me, because those parts are impossible to find.

These are the trunk emblems.

These are the fender emblems......

The grille and fender emblems are sitting on my desk as I write this. I'm still in the process of restoring the car, so instead of having my emblems lost in my pile of parts out in my garage, I have them here on my desk.

The only emblems I'm missing are the Olds logo on the stone shield and the the W30 emblems for the fenders. Then I have the complete set of emblems replaced.

I found a '72 stone shield emblem on Ebay, but it's a bit different than the '71. It would work, but someone who knows the car will see it and say "why do you have a '72 stone shield emblem on a '71, don't you know the difference?" and then I'll be forced to stomp them into the ground. That's one thing I hate about owning an old car.....someone who thinks they're an expert has to run their mouths and nothing pisses me off more than explaining to some asshole why I had to use something else as a replacement. I had to deal with that with my '87 Mustang GT.

Ebay is amazing, you can find so much stuff on there. I'm ordering a Marco Simoncelli hoodie. My dad has also found so much stuff for the bikes and it has really helped him. Theres also alot of music and merch, which I love.

Yeah, I've picked up a lot of cool stuff on eBay. I recently picked up a rather cheaply price vintage 1989/1990 Aerosmith "North American Pump Tour" t-shirt, which I am currently wearing as I type this. Here's one picture I found online of the front. I'd take a picture of my own shirt and post it, but I don't feel like it right now:

Within the past year, I also bought a Kix Midnite Dynamite shirt, a Super Nintendo system to replace the one my brother took with him to his apartment, and a copy of the first Donkey Kong Country game, also to replace the one my brother took with him...

I think I'm gonna start looking for metal T shirts on there too. I've never thought of looking for those. Right now I spend all my time looking for Oldsmobile parts. Muscle car parts are hard to find around here. All the junkyards crushed out their parts years ago and the local car parts store don't stock most hard to find muscle car parts. They have the regular things, like brake shoes or pads, but no chrome trim parts, whatsoever.

Oh yeah, and I also bought a vintage 1985 Ratt "Invasion of Your Privacy Tour" sleeveless muscle tee. Perfect for the beach...

Oh man......last night before I logged off for the night I found a site that has all my Oldsmobile parts called "Early Birds" and all their prices are in Canadian dollars. I signed up right away, because I'm having a hard time finding new grilles for my car and they have a set for $429.99. The original price was $479, but signing up with an account dropped the price by $50.
