I'd like everyone to add to this list of albums that you would consider "must have." And this goes for anything that you like, even if it's not your favorite. The ones you consider "meh, not great", those ones can be left off the list. Talking about Filestube on SR reminded that it might be a perfect opportunity to download Sweet F.A.'s Stick To Your Guns. I've been looking for that to download for ages and I finally found it! Always loved that album. It would be in my top 15 or 20 all time albums for me.

On the boldface ones, I could not agree with either Olds or Dmb more! As I recall Seb (Axe-to-the-Wax) is also a pretty big fan of Wildside Under the Influence.

So here's my own list with the ones Dmb and Olds mentioned added as well (so I will piggy-back off their lists if that's okay.)

*Bon Jovi-s/t, Slippery, New Jersey, Keep the Faith, and JBJ's Blaze of Glory (I also love 7800 Fahrenheit, These Days, and The Circle, but know these aren't to everyone's taste--but I pretty much do enjoy all Bon Jovi)
*Motley Crue-GGG, Dr. Feelgood, TOP, and SATD
*Cinderella-Long Cold Winter (I like Heartbreak Station a bit better but LCW is more "mandatory"?)
*Warrant-Cherry Pie, not as much but DRFSR also because it's got so many of their biggest hits
*Poison-Open Up and Say Ah
*Def Leppard-Hysteria
*Ratt-Out of the Cellar, Invasion of Your Privacy, Detonator
*Great White-...Twice Shy, Hooked
*L.A.Guns-Cocked and Loaded
*Skid Row-s/t
*Kix-Blow My Fuse and Hot Wire
*Guns n' Roses-Appetite
*Dangerous Toys-s/t, Hellacious Acres
*Vince Neil-Exposed
*Babylon A.D.-s/t, Nothing Sacred
*Baton Rouge-Shake Your Soul
*Hardline-Double Eclipse
*Sleeze Beez-Screwed Blued and Tattooed
*Trixter-s/t
*Savatage-Edge of Thorns
*Bang Tango-Psycho Cafe (not everyone love, loves this...)
*Wildside-Under the Influence
*XYZ-s/t
*Jesse Strange-s/t
*Wildstreet-s/t

I am sorry, it is really hard for me to separate out what I think are some of the best vs. what's on my "favorites" list. Some that remind me of some of the best times of my life are going to seem incredibly weak to others. You know? And I know that's a long list that will likely get edited a bit. ;) I've probably forgotten at least 7-8.

Totally agree with the Baton Rouge, Sleeze Beez, and Bang Tango picks! Good call. The others like Skid Row, Ratt, Poison, and Kix kinda go without saying...

I'm only posting them as I think of the album. There are some marginal albums that I might post, but bands like Wild Boyz won't be added.

And Baton Rouge was a very nice choice.

I also think Seb will have a huge list when he finds this thread. He is another encyclopedia of metal.

Oh, come on Seb!!! :) :P Just try. Some of my favorite newer bands I have been listening to have come from your suggestions.

And you like Wildside, so you can back us all up on that one. :P
